Mjölnir Vector Art

Another project I did to get more familiar with Adobe Illustrator.

The symbols (along with a brief description) on Mjölnir from top to bottom are:

  • Valknut — “Knot of the Slain” that honors those killed in battle and shows dedication to Óðinn (Odin)
  • Vegvísir — “Signpost” to guide people through rough weather (or situations).
  • Ægishjálmur (or Aegishjalmur) — “Helm of awe” (or “helm of terror”); to induce fear and to protect against abuse of power.
  • Huginn and Muninn (Thought and Memory) are the two ravens on each side of the Ægishjálmur. They are the eyes and ears of Óðinn, flying throughout the world each day and bringing him information.

I’d love to know what y’all think!
